2. Background
ACCM offers Diploma and Certificate programs in Christian Ministry as part of the denominational educational initiative of Grace Communion International (GCI). Courses are overseen by the ACCM Director. Only teachers who have completed the required ACCM training and hold valid accreditation may teach ACCM courses.
The Volunteer Teacher agrees to serve at the request of ACCM and to uphold ACCM’s educational aims, values, and standards.
3. Teacher Responsibilities
The Teacher agrees to:
3.1 Accreditation
· Complete ACCM teacher training for each course they intend to teach.
· Teach only courses for which they hold current ACCM accreditation.
Continued accreditation requires continued learning:
· Self-Directed Learning, teachers are encouraged to read widely, engage with the subject, and prepare thoroughly for each lesson, which helps maintain both breadth and depth of subject knowledge.
· Variety in Teaching Methods: Using diverse teaching methods—storytelling, discussion, role play, creative assignments—keeps participants engaged and helps teachers adapt to different learning styles needed.
3.2 Professional Conduct
· Abide by the GCI Code Ethics for Elders, Pastoral Team members, Leaders.
· Maintain regular communication with the ACCM Director and Registrar.
· Work cooperatively under ACCM supervision and within established administrative processes.
3.3 Classroom Responsibilities
· Uphold all relevant Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines for any venue in which classes are held.
· Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all participants.
· Exercise appropriate duty of care toward participants.
4. Use of ACCM Materials & Intellectual Property
The Teacher acknowledges that:
· ACCM course content, ideas, structure, and presentation are the intellectual property of ACCM / GCI Australia.
· Materials must be used exactly as provided, without alteration or omission that would modify meaning, intent, or theological integrity.
· Course material may not be reused outside ACCM or combined with other training programs without explicit written approval from ACCM. (You are encouraged to integrate your learning and understanding from ACCM courses into your ministry, including sermons and Bible studies, as long as you do not directly copy or distribute ACCM’s proprietary materials.)
· Licensed Materials, If ACCM uses materials licensed from an external owner, explicit written approval from the owner is required before those materials can be reused, adapted, or incorporated into other programs.
· Copyright notices, trademarks, and proprietary marks must not be removed or altered.
5. Confidentiality
The Teacher agrees to:
· Maintain confidentiality of participant information, including contact details and personal data.
· Use participant information solely for ACCM purposes such as class registration, record-keeping, and reporting.
· Not share or disclose participant details to any external third party.
6. Volunteer Nature of the Role
· The Teacher acknowledges that this is a volunteer position and not an employment relationship.
· No salary or employment entitlements arise from this Agreement unless otherwise arranged in writing.
7. Termination
Both parties agree to act in good faith to resolve any issues that arise. Termination may occur if:
· Mutual agreement cannot be reached;
· The Teacher breaches ACCM policy, code of conduct, or course integrity.
Either party may terminate this Agreement in writing.
